Have met a couple of forum members, but no one with Pacerpoles;-) If you see us, do say Hi.....especially if you're not a kiwi or Aussie - there are so many here!!
Burn camino to anyone else out here now.

How's it going? Looking forward to hearing the children's reactions. Do you have a blog so we can follow?

Tip, follow Anne's advoce and stay in the (only) albergue in Tosantos, smaal village after belorado. Stayed there in spet 2012 and it was one of the most impressing and inspiring experiences on my camino. Especially hospitalero Jose Luis, singing the "himno del peregrino" for us pilgrims after breakfat and before leaving for the road again. Think of it regularly,! Jose Luis gave me some "feed back/advice" which i consider a lesson for life. Don't miss it!

Now in Burgos and reading replies for the first time. Granon parcohial was closed, but we stayed in another there - not sure if we came away with bedbugs or flea bites from all the dogs - grrrrr.
Tosantos was WONDERFUL - plus we got a fiesta.

We've been updating regularly but some days are definitely not inspired writing!! Trying to avoid "we walked here and got sore feet" but some days, that's the story!!!
Looks like we've missed you Al.
Meeting all sorts of other inspirational people though - a girl cycling backwards from Lisbon to Istanbul or maybe Iran. A blind man with his dog and his wife pushing two kids in a stroller. Very humbling.
It's only 9:30 and we're not in an albergue tonight so we could stay up late, but the body says it's time for bed - our older kids are appalled!

Rachael, I hadn't read your blog until last evening. I stayed up late--being inspired and SO impressed by all the young legs, and slightly older ones, trouping along steadfastly and for such good reasons. I hope you and the children stay healthy and positive along the meseta--maybe more snakes for Levi and Micaiah! (I've only seen a couple dead ones en route, but I certainly do not look for them--why do you think I live in Ireland?? New Zealand would have done beautifully too, but I met the 'wrong' man, I guess. We both have fond memories of our too-short visit to Auckland and the northern North Island on a black swan mission with our son, a few years ago.)
I visited your donation website, and hope many many others will do so too. Bless you all.
