I am curious to know if anyone has done geocaching while walking this Camino. If so, can you share your experience? Thanks.

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

I'm a keen geocacher, but found that the caches hidden along the Frances route was too far from the trail (unless in the main towns). I am thinking of going back and walking the whole trail again to lay either micro or nano caches along whole route.

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

Hi there. As we arrived in Santiago de Compostela two days earlier than expected, we did do over a dozen geocaches. All were left by O Golpe who was recommended by a pilgrim on this forum. They were very clever and surprisingly right in the thick of the crowd and required great stealth. They also nudged us out of the old city to discover the very large park. We did not cache along the route as we wanted to reach our destination. Our last day we did search for a few, especially near the airport and came up empty, but yes, we did see quite a healthy geocache community along the Sarria-Santiago section. We couldn't find another in Portomarin near the old church, my daughter just reminded me.

Hi, yes you can geocache on this route. I cached along the VldP in 2015. My geocaching handle is Mystic Seer. I planned my day to grab a cache every day just to break up the walk and to visit the sights. Most of them are very close to the route within 300 - 250 meters on the Camino. You'll be surprised how many you will find on the way and where you find them. Just look at the main towns and along the route on www.geocaching.com to plan your day. If they are 1 - 2 km off route I didn't worry about them. Best caching was one very good stretch of 17km after Guillena which breaks up the day. Excellent caches along a great route and well hidden. I even found one in a snail's shell (yes it was a cache) on the outskirts of Monestario. Have fun. This is a great walk and one of my favourites.
