Getting back from Finistere.....

Hiya everyone!!

At the end of August i'm starting my 1st ever Camino and if I have a day's spare at the end of it I planned to continue to Finistere, but what would be the best way to get back to Santiago airport?

Any help would be great!

Thanks Darren

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
Take the bus from Finisterre back to Santiago. It's cheap and only takes a couple of hours or so. In Santiago there is a bus that will take you to the airport for about 3 euros. I think it's about a 45 minute ride.

You can catch a bus back to the bus station in Santiago, and from there you can catch the airport bus. Whether this is the best way given your flight schedules is moot.

That's great to hear! Where abouts do I catch the bus from and roughly what times do they run?
All I remember is that I caught the bus back to Santiago from Finisterre at a bus stop on the street next to a grocery store, near the waterfront. Believe me, it's easy to find. It's not that big a town. Don't know the schedule or remember where you get tickets from, though. It takes you to the bus station in Santiago.

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

I assume that with possibly only one day to spare, you'll be taking the bus to Finisterre from Santiago? If so, I recommend that you buy a return ticket. I had been told that a ticket to Santiago could be purchased from the bus driver in Finisterre. This was ulitmately true but not easy. When I was there (early August) there was a massive lineup to leave in the morning. The driver was giving priority boarding to those who already had tickets and would only sell tickets if there was space. The one place to buy bus tickets in Finisterre, was closed.
