Hi,
I have a Ryan Air flight arriving in Biarritz at 17:55, and I'm having a lot of trouble finding a way to St Jean Pied de Port without spending a fortune.
I've found it difficult to navigate the many different transportation websites and am just a stressed out college student trying to make sure she gets there safe.
Any suggestions?

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

Hi!

Last train for St.Jean leaves Bayonne at 18:06 except on Sunday when the latest train leaves at 21:10. If your daughter will arrive to Biarritz on a weekday I suggest that she stays at http://hotel-montecarlo.allcommerces.com/ which is just across the street from Bayonne train station. Next day she can easily get to SJPdP, check at pilgrim office, get a place to sleep and do some sight-seeing.

The following are the only public transport options. If you arrive too late then your choice is limited to private hire taxi, taxi, or spend the night in Bayonne.

If I were you I would spend the night in Bayonne.

Thanks! Funny you said "your daughter" as I'm posting on this thread for myself! It's really unfortunate I won't be able to grab a train but not the end of the world.

I'm sorry, I think I messed up with another post with similar question about one forum member's college daughter :)

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
Just chill when you get there Ali. One day is neither here or nor there in a month of walking. Take it easy and start to enjoy from before your take-off. Doing so and being relaxed from the start will make the walking so much easier. Buen Camino

Have you tried : https://www.covoiturage.fr/ at least to Bayonnee,fr

In march it cost me 28 euros from Montpellier to Bayonnee and another 10 euros to Pamplona using them.

Hi everyone, I'm in a similar position myself...arriving in Biarritz around 5pm this coming Saturday. I looked up some train times which seems to indicate there is a train from Bayonne to St Jean at 21.09? http://www.bonjourlafrance.com/trai...t_jean_pied_de_port_train_station_47_604.aspx would anyone be able to clarify this for me?

Much Appreciated

The service provider is SNCF TER Aquitaine. You are advised to use the schedule posted by the service provider.

Last year I arrived in Biarritz via Ryanair, similar situation. As I queued for passport check I looked our for similar pilgrims - easy to recognise us by the gear!!! ...and approached 2 Irish ladies and an American lady from same flight and asked them to share taxi to ST Jean. I cost either €40 or €50 between the 4 of us. Great value!! We ended up staying in same hostel and walking 1st few days together.

Brenda,

So taxis are readily and easily available straight from the airport? If I can find pilgrims to share the cost with I think this is what I'll do.

Also, do I really need to look everything up right now if I do decide to take the bus/taxi to Bayonne and then a train on to SJPP? My head is already spinning and I'm thinking that since I arrive at BIQ at 10:10am I should have several opportunities to get accomodation to get where i need to right?
