Great wee cafe in Sarria

Hi there

Walking up the steps as you head toward the Sarria cathedral at the top of the hill you reach a little courtyard with a cafe painted yellow on the right hand side of the steps......DONT go there, its full of flies and bad fat smells....not more than 25 steps away is a gorgeous wee cafe with beautiful food, clean ,gorgeous back courtyard...sunny, private, sun umbrellas....menu del dial €9.000......just lovely. To get to this wee gem called 'A Travesia Dos Sonos' stand at the top of the steps, yellow cafe on your right, walk diagonally across the courtyard to your next wee alleyway on your left, about 20 steps and voila.....there it is. You won't be sorry

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
If the cafe you say to skip is the bar directly at the top of the stairs, I am going to respectfully disagree. The man behind the bar there is Jose, who has been serving coffee to pilgrims and locals for over 40 years, and he is a delight if you take the time to say hello and be friendly.

Maybe stop for a coffee and then go to the great wee cafe...!
