Just tripped over this forum. Looks like a very useful tool for planning but more importantly for venting some of the positive energy associated with the Camino.

I walked the Camino in 2008 from SJPP to Santiago and was hooked prior to my arrival in SJPP. I'll do the same Camino starting in August. I arrive Paris on the 9th and into SJPP the same day staying at L'esprit. I walked the Napoleon route last year so will change things up a bit and walk the Charlemagne route this time.

I'm off to check out the topics and perhaps I'll bump into you either here in the forum or on the camino

Buen Camino!

Hi Jacobus
I walked the Camino in 2008 from SJPP to Santiago and was hooked prior to my arrival in SJPP
Before my first short trip I just wanted an easy walking time; yes I was a bit hooked but I didn't think I would be overcome and that the camino could enter my veins. Yes, this is an excellent site / forum.
It suits new comers and old timers (perhaps some day I'll be among that group :) )

I think your comment "venting some of the positive energy associated with the Camino" is refreshing and I hope it will be encouraging to all.

Buen Camino

P.S. Welcome to Ivar's forum.

Thank you for the welcome. Hope to exchange lots more in the near future.

Hello from a fellow Ottawan ..... I love this site but this is my first post so I am a newbie .... my husband and I are leaving Ottawa August 23, staying at L'Esprit Aug 24/25 (figure we'll rest up a day, to get over that overnight flight before hitting the Pyrenees) ... so we'll be a couple of weeks behind you ..... Buen Camino.
