Three days to go before I head to Irun and thence to Santiago.
I have booked my flight home from Porto that leaves at 12:15 so I need to get to the airport around 10:00 to 10:30.
The ALSA bus service cannot get me to the airport until 12:50
The train takes ages.
I am considering getting the bus to Porto the day before my flight and so my question is; will I be able to use an albergue for my overnight stay?
thanks

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.

The 9th edition the Lightfoot Guide will let you complete the journey your way.
Hi David,
Most Alberges are flexible and will work with you. Some have resident managers/owners whilst others show up at 6am to manage the morning activity. Pilgrims leave their Albergue a to catch planes and buses at all times of day. So as long as you communicate your needs to them if should be fine. You just want to know the doors will be unlocked by the time you need to leave. Enjoy your walk.
Cheers Carmen

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.

Hi Yes there are some hotels near porto airport on is only a five minuet walk from the terminal called something like airport hotel. BUT BUT BUT Do not go anywhere near the maldron hotel as we did it looked kind of funky but on getting there we found it was a BROTHEL we collected our thoughts and did our money and walked three kilometers down to the air port. Good luck and god bless.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
