Our horse ride to Santiago the Compostela starts in Rabanal del Camino, located in the "French way" about 240 km from Santiago de Compostela. We will usually ride 6 hours, about 30 km, a day, and we will reach Santiago the morning 9th day. There will be stops to view interesting places and monuments. The nights takes place in rural houses/hotels. Two guides will accompany you, one riding the way and the other with a supporting car. You don't need to be an expert horseman, but you do need some experience with trail-riding. Our horses are perfect for long trails. They are calm and easy to manage but quick and with temper. Groups of 4-5 persons.

I met and rode with these guys when I was hospitalera at Gaucelmo a few years ago. They are sensible, fun people who take good care of their animals. Their stable block is clean and orderly, and they charge only 6 or 7 Euro for a night´s food and lodging for your critter.

They also offer trail rides of an hour or two around the Rabanal district, should you arrive in town still full of energy.
