I enjoyed your post until your last bullet point, and would like to offer a humble edit: a certain "nation" did not blanket bomb parts of SE Asia (btw, I lived in Cambodia for eight years, side point here). Rather, a certain &*()ed up government--not to be confused with our 'nation' as we do NOT control their military decisions--led that effort. The decision to bomb Cambodia was entirely hidden from us, the people.

It's okay to express your own views dougfitz but please don't go further and include others without asking their opinion.. I certainly would agree with the necessity of making the 'fine distinction' that CaminoDebrita astutely expresses.

If you actually read my post, you will see that I have expressed my own view. You may choose to disagree with it, but it will remain my view.
