James the Apostle probably walked the path that led him to the capital of Galicia - at least this is what the traditional lovers of the Camino de Santiago like to think.

This report reveals how it has been turned into a pure business path that goes from the sale of souvenirs, racing to get beds in shelters, taxis that carry heavy loads and a few rogues who decide to divert the original route forcing walkers to stop and eat in their villages.

"If Santiago Walk" is a story of Carlos Enrique, Carles Sans, Ramon and Daniel Rull Usarralde

Besides the fact that Yaakov Ben Zebedee didn't visit Iberia, the place called Compostela was not the capital of what was known as Gallaecia, that was Bracara Augusta, the modern Portuguese Braga.
"Rich Gallaecia sent its youths, wise in the knowledge of divination by the entrails of beasts, by feathers and flames— who, now crying out the barbarian song of their native tongue, now alternately stamping the ground in their rhythmic dances until the ground rang, and accompanying the playing with sonorous caetrae" Wiki

It's a pity, but the film was finished in Fisterra, after good moments in Monte Aro and Corcubion (the albergue) but finally it finished in Santiago because there weren't time for any more. But I enjoyed.

Buen Camino, anyway
