Hello fellow pilgrims!
My name is Jean and I live in Scotland (although I am Irish!) I will start out on 20th April from St Jean, staying at Refuge d'Orisson that evening. Anyone else out there going at that time?

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
Hi Jean!
I may be possible starting a couple of days later from Pamplona, so we may cross paths. I am Erin, Australian, and very excited about my first Camino.

Very possibly. It is not much further along the route. Hopefully see you at some point!

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Hi Jean,

Well it looks like we'll soon be firm friends! We're 3 Australian's starting out from SJPDP (staying at Albergue Beilari) on the 20th April & also staying that evening at Orisson. My name is Elisha, I'm 35 & I'm walking with my friends Elana (45) & Brigid (58). We're flying in from London Stansted on Ryanair, arriving at Biarritz at 4.55pm. We've booked a taxi with Express Bourricot, if you arrive at around the same time & need someone to taxi share with. Fantastic to meet you!

Gosh, a mob of young 'roos! Buen Camino to you all - have a wonderful time.

Hiya I'm at Orisson on 18th April and will be walking sloooowly so you'll probably catch me up within a couple of days.

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc

Hi Elisha

Really look forward to meeting up. I am actually travelling to France a bit earlier to do a bit of visiting people and places. I am staying in SJPdP on 19th at Gite Makila. I believe it is near the office where you get your Camino passport. I will definitely see you in Orisson if not at SJPdP.

Elisha, just saw a rare coincidence on your thread. I see you were on the Nakasendo Way last year around the same time as my son and me!!!

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

What a coincidence! How did you enjoy the Nakasendo? Did you encounter all the snow we did up on the Torri Pass? I can't say we dressed appropriately for all that unseasonal snow, but we had an absolute blast traipsing through it all.

We've been planing our Camino now for about 18 months & I can't believe it's almost here; it's exciting & rather horrifying at the same time how quickly its come around. It'll be fantastic to meet up at Orisson; we're planning on walking out of SJPDP around lunchtime in the hope it'll take us about 3 hours to hit Orisson. To get into our groove, our first few days we're planning on:

Orrison - Espinal
Espinal - Zuburi
Zuburi - Pamplona

But I guess we'll see! :)

My wife and I are starting out on April 22nd, and staying at Orisson that evening. Maybe we will catch up to you at some point.

I have to admit that my son and I only walked on the Nakasendo Way for a single day - it would have been beautiful to do more but I was dragging him around to visit a load of places! I thought Japan was absolutely stunning.

My plan on day 2 is to head to Roncesvalles where I have booked myself in to a B&B. After that, no plans. I'll see how it goes. I don't want to pressurise myself. When I have an idea of my pace, I'll probably plan a bit more. I am going to stop off in a few places too to do a bit of sightseeing.
