The judge has yet to pass sentence and will deal with it on October 11. If I hear outcome I'll keep you posted.
It's a suggestion by the judge but would be unenforceable under law. Sometimes in "minor cases" one can avoid a conviction by making a donation to the court "poor box". This would in turn be given to worthy charitable causes.
