Time of past OR future Camino
will start first stage on French camino starting SJPP on May 8th 2018
Hi all a snow blizzard in ireland is allowing me time to plan more of our first camino begining on may 8th, I am travelling with my wife from SJPP to Logrono. I am looking for reccommended accommodation update for Larrasoana. Thanks Gerard

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
Last year I stayed in Casa Elita and recommend it. It's a house tucked away in a side street and run by a very nice couple - he is Spanish, she is (I think) Hungarian but speaks fluent English. There are 3 very comfortable individual rooms, a shared bathroom, and a lovely atmosphere. There isn't much to do in Larrasoaña, so I also recommend the communal meal - I met some very interesting people.

About 8km beyond Larrasoana is a very nice muni in Zabaldika. I am not sure they are open in early may.

New Original Camino Gear Designed Especially with The Modern Peregrino In Mind!
Thanks for the replies I will have a look at both, regards Gerard

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
I also liked Albergue San Nicolás, and staying in Larrasoaña in general. But: the 27 km from Roncesvalles to Larrasoaña felt surprisingly long. I was in one of those "will this afternoon ever end?" moods when I finally arrived. I was very glad to be one step ahead of the crowds who stopped at Zubiri, so I'd still recommend it ... just be prepared!

Exactly stop in Zubiri after Roncevalles at Palo de Avellano and walk to Zalbaldika. Then your walk to Pamplona is like a walk in a garden depending which route you chose. Take the one along the river, it is a little longer but more pleasant.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
Recommend Hostel Bide Ederra in Larrosoana, nice clean private rooms, breakfast included [Jesus the manager will prepare breakfast, and will treat you with respect].
You can check it out at this link: http://hostelbideederra.com/
Last September-October I made reservations via email, Jesus will send a quick reply. Good luck with your planning and execution, y que la luz de Dios alumbre su camino.

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
