Hi

I am arriving into Burgos on Sunday 16th and will stay overnight in the Albergue - I plan on walking to Sahagún - six days in total, Monday to Saturday.

I got an email from asociacion@caminosantiagoburgos.com confirming I can get my Credencial at the Albergue.

I don't mind Winter walking - will there be anyone around?

I walked from SJPDP to Santiago last Summer - always amazed at the Winter photos so taking the opportunity!

Any advice from anyone who walked it recently?

Thanks

Donal

I can see the Meseta been windy so avoid the poncho type rain gear that would get wind underneath and become a visibility hazard! The portion Carrion de Los Condes-Calzadilla de la Cueza are 17 long Kms with NOTHING in terms of shelter. Make sure you have food and water with you, more so, there is safety in numbers, so try to pair up with other pilgrims for this section. At Carrion take 5 minutes to collect a taxi phone number before you get on this trail (the bar across from Residencia Nuestra Señora de la Merced is where all the taxi drivers hang-out for this reason. A compass?

Thank you for that great advice. Would not have thought of a Compass, which is a bit stupid of me really...
