Leaving Gear in Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port

My wife and I are planning to walk the Camino again (third time for myself). We will be traveling with extra gear that we do not want to obviously carry on the Camino nor do we want to ship it forward to Santiago or back home.

However we do plan to pass back through this area on our way back to Paris.

Any thoughts on where we could leave our extra gear in SJPdP? Or elsewhere?

I think it's better to send your liggage to santiago, pick it there when you finish and return to PAris by plane
To drive back to SJPDP is too much and expansive

Since you are a veteran pilgrim you know that SJPP is not always the easiest place to get into or to return. Don't know from which direction you will be coming but it seems to me that your chances for finding a safe storage place will be far greater in Pamplona or Bayonne/Biarritz both of which are better situated on the high road back to what passes for reality.

Nothing seems to be offered in SJPdP, but perhaps another pilgrim has found baggage storage there. In Santiago:

If you are still firm about returning through SJPP, and you are planning an overnight stop there as you begin your trip, I assume you have a lodging reservation. Why not contact your host and ask if they will store a few things for you?

There is always Blue Marble in Paris, for luggage storage, as well.

I traveled through Bayonne and left my city luggage (with the clothes I wore in London and Paris). When I asked if I could leave my bag there for a few weeks, they were not in the least surprised. Perhaps it helped that I was staying a night at that Bayonne hotel each time I passed through Bayonne.

It's change hands and been rehabed since I stayed there, but it's the Hotel Ibis Gare, 2 minutes from the train station.
