Leaving St Jean September 9th

N11284

Member
I begin my Camino arriving in St Jean on Sept 8th flying in from Ireland to Biarritz and will walking on Sept 9th. Good luck to all on the road in September. An Irish walking prayer I think is appropriate.

May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face;
May the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again,
may God hold you in the palm of His hand.

Ideal pocket guides for during & after your Camino. Each weighs only 1.4 oz (40g)!
the camino has its own prayer
it's called the pilgrim's blessing
here it is in english

may god be for you
a companion along the path
a guide at the crossroads
strength in you weariness
defense before dangers
shelter on the way
shade against the heat
light in the darkness
a comforter in your discouragements
and firmness in your intentions

N11284 is my network ID at work, I've gotten into the habit of using it online rather than my name.. good luck to you both, I finish somewhere between burgos and Leon ,intend to complete next spring DG

John, I should have known by your location that the N wasn't what I thought it was. N followed by 5 numbers or letters is the identification of US registered aircraft. BTW I think that doing the Camino in stages like you are takes great faith. We too are doing it is stages, but either due to a lack of faith or our advancing age, we're doing the last part first. If I only get the opportunity once, I want to walk into Santiago. John
