Logrono 4 and 5 September

For those around Los Arcos and Lograno on 4th and 5th September, there is a stage of La Vuelta a Espana being run on the 5th between roughly Los Arcos and Logrono starting at 1.30pm. It's a cycle race, approx 200 riders from what I can see, cycling on the NA1110 and A12. There is a rest day in Logrono the day before on the 4th. So....with support teams there could be lots of extra people in town, accommodation options may be affected, and some very fast riders on those roads to watch go by.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
The race format on the 5th is individual time trials with intervals of a few minutes between each rider so the road will be closed to traffic most of the afternoon. This is a major sporting event so expect normal routine along the route to be affected in each village and town. I just wish I could be there to combine two of my favourite activities - walking the Camino and watching pro cycling. Towns affected as stated inlude Los Arcos, Torres del Rio, Viana and Logrono itself.
