I suggest buying some Omnifix tape instead. That's what a pharmacist recommended to me in Zubiri back in 2017, and I've been using it ever since. It, or the similar Hypafix are widely available in farmácias in Spain.

I’ve never really noticed it outside the UK.

You might try standard zinc-oxide tape, using four strips to make a hollow-cross around the area? In most large farmacias I often see a large rack of foot-care stuff - usually right by the door on a Camino route.

Maybe try saying (or typing if you’ve little Spanish) ‘busco tejido autoadhesivo para podología’ ; I’m looking for self-adhesive fabric for chiropody.

I had to ask at the farmacia. Much of there stock is stored up and out of sight but I was able to buy the moleskin-like product successfully. Show the clerk a picture of what you're looking for.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
I used both moleskin and Trtitas by Hartman and found the Tiritas to be way more effective. Unlike Moleskin you don't have to cut around the blister. It's like a second skin that you place right over the blister. Worked great. last long..
