I walked the Valcarlos route in April 2015 and absolutely loved it! I am doing the Frances route again this coming April and I can't wait! I came down to Roncevalles warm and dry, while the other group were wet and cold, with mud on their pants. I'm sure the Napoleon route is spectacular, but as my mother used to say, "You don't miss what you don't know."...and I say, "If it aint broke, why fix it." ;)
