New hostel in Coimbra

There is a new hostel in Coimbra, only open since the beginning of May. It's called Hostel Coimbra Portagem and is on the street directly behind the Tourist Office & off Largo da Portagem. No sign outside that I can remember but has a grille door and is at the beginning of the street on LHS. Really beautiful building, comfy beds, fab bathrooms & lots of chill out space including a massive terrace overlooking the river. €18 per night which is similar to other hostels in the city I believe although more expensive than the albergue in the convent. They are still getting set up so don't yet have a kitchen or laundry facilities but are working on all this. Really friendly enthusiastic staff. Highly recommend.
