Camino Frances (2012) (2018) (2020)
Hello all,
My name is Di and I am from Brisbane. This is my first post.
My husband and I returned from Europe a week ago after having walked the camino Frances.
I want to thank all of the forum members for all of the great advice on the site, which helped us tremendously in our preparations.
We enjoyed the pilgrimage and met many wonderful people (thanks for the singing Shannon from Wodona).
We started walking from Roncesvalles on 26 September 2012 and had beautiful weather most of the way. We caught the train between Burgos and Leon and arrived at Santiago de Compostela on 26 October 2012.
Before and after the pilgrimage we visited my daughter in France.
It was the culmination of 2 years of planning and preparation.
We also met Beth and Steve from Moggil who were walking with a Canadian couple.
What an adventure!
Thanks again
Di

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
Thank you for sharing the completion of your trip with us. Meeting new friends is one of the highlights of each Camino. We all hope your Camino continues to have an impact on your life. Best of luck,
