Yay K Jenson! Finally someone on the calendar close to my date! Was beginning to feel a bit lonely.
I won't be able to retire for quite a few years yet and my dream will to be able to walk the whole camino in one go. In the meantime I'm practising doing some weeks here and there as work allows.
Maybe we will meet somewhere on the way, my last two trips I was lucky enough to meet up with a few forum members that I had chatted to on here. Please feel free to ask any questions, I learned so much from the forum before I went and was eternally grateful for it, still am, can learn something new everyday.

Buen Camino K

Allow as much time as possible -take at least 20 minutes every day to walk at half your normal walking speed and LOOK,APPRECIATE,ABSORB! It becomes quite easy to get swept up with just going through the motions and sometimes forgetting the gentle pace of life
Enjoy every day
Give yourself permission to just do what feels right -some days may be 5 km others may be 30km! There is no HAVE TO or MUST
BUEN CAMINO

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
I did the same thing after I retired. I did the Portuguese from Porto to Santiago.

Buen Camino, and enjoy your retirement!!!! It's a great way to live.
