Nice article, thanks!
€700 for a pair of shoes sounds outrageous, but I can certainly appreciate all the work that goes into them. They have well heeled customers, too!

I have known two people over the past 54 years who needed to get Tutty's to shoe them. Certainly not for vanity, and the principle of repair fits well in these times of trying not to throw away. I think over the years my own investment in walking shoes and boots and sandals has paid for itself. I no longer use smart shoes, except for one pair (bought in 1997) that gets an airing when I have to be a bit presentable!!
Plus, your wit shines through!

I probably spent that much on shoes last year... (I like shoes) But a well fitting smart looking shoe that lasts mostly forever sounds like a fantastic investment.
