Walking the Camino from Arles, leaving UK around 28th/29th May. Even at this early stage am feeling somewhat excited, and perhaps a little daunted. Will be taking my bivvy, intending to sleep out sometimes, sleep in dorms sometimes, and sleeping in slightly more salubrious settings sometimes. I'm 70 going on 50 and the clock will have ticked to another year by the time I leave. Can hardly believe I shall be doing this - but I know my journey has already begun. If anyone reading this is planning on the Arles route at end of May, would love to share notes. Size of rucksack, footwear, clothes etc. I feel so blessed to have this amazing opportunity, and sense it's extreme value and importance at the beginning of my next 30 years.
Blessings to all pilgrims.
