Pilgrim passport in Ponferrada

I’m doing the winter way in 2 days and I’m starting in PONFERRADA with late arrival around 6-7pm…. If there a place to get the pilgrim passport that is open. Also any recommendations on where to stay when arriving so late in a day?

The large albergue in Ponferrada has credentials. There should be someone there to sell you one at that time of day.

You might be able to get a bed there too. 6 - 7 isn't that late.

Thumbs up for parroquial San Nicolas from me. (Untypical in that males and females are in separate dormitories). If you arrive in time, try and make it to the pilgrim blessing (should be 7pm) at the Chapel (Nuestrs Senora del Carmen) at the far end of the albergue courtyard. It's an unusually decorated place with a warm and enthusuastic priest. will set you up nicely for the journey ahead...

When I arrived there the all female dorm was full, so I was in a co-ed room, which I didn't mind at all.
