Please help with accommodation options (private rooms)

We are continuing our Camino in September from Logrono to Leon. We would like to stay in private rooms this time but don't wish to spend a fortune on hotels every night.... what are the other options? I believe there are rooms above bars etc. and private rooms in Albergues... How can we find out where they are before we head off for planning purposes..... and do we need to take our sleeping bag for this scenario? Also, any ideas what a "Casa Rural" is? Thanks in advance.. A country home with bedrooms. The bath may or may not be en suite. You normally will eat with the host, as no restaurants will be nearby.

The more obscure places will not reveal themselves even with an internet search. You pretty much have to be walking by and see a sign.

Mundicamino and Erosky websites have good lists of all accommodations. Check them.

It's easy. We walked in the winter - almost all the albergues were closed so we had no choice. We didn 't book anything - just arrived in a town or village, our JohnBrierley guidebook helped with ideas, and we also often asked at bars and cafes. There are lots of pensions (small family-run hoetls) in which you can have a room and ensuite, pretty basic but adequate, around 35-40 euros a night.

I walked Lisbon to Porto in June. Albergues were very infrequent. "Residentials" were small, family run hotels: but the cost was generally 18 to 25 Euros for an ensuite room. Check my diaries on my web site for more details. The diary for Lisbon to Porto includes a spreadsheet of day by day costs [accommodation, meals, transport etc]
