Is there a list of alberges that might have private rooms available?
If you have not already started the camino, then try and get the Miami Miami dodo book as it lists every albergue, hostel, hotel and casa rial on the Camino .it gives info on which albergues have private rooms with telephone numbers and prices. It's a French publication, published every year so get the latest one . It's available on Amazon and is invaluable for planning ahead. You might also be able to get it from a bookshop depending on where you live but my local bookshops had never heard of it! A few years ago we got one from the confraternity of st.james in London. Best wishes .Annette

Is there a list of alberges that might have private rooms available?
Hi sweeprich,

for my preparation I used http://www.urcamino.com/
They have good information, including information about type of the alberges.

When you open the link for the city that you want, you'll see the "Type" and a sign. "P" is private alberges, flag is municipal alberges and cross is religious alberges. When you open a private alberges, you'll see did they have private room. You will see additional information for the that private alberges, phone, price, breakfast, dinner ......

Best wishes :)

Money stolen from bag on bed while sleeping. Estelle municipal hostel. Not a big inconvenience as my passport and credit cards were left.
