Puerta Santa

Just checked on the Web-cam at Plaza Quintana, behind the Cathedral. The queue waiting to go through the Puerta Santa is immense. I think it must take hours to make it to the door. Anne

Yes the queue is long and will just get longer I'm afraid as the year goes on. But it does move quite quickly

In the cathedral there are now two zones. If you enter through puerta Santa you get access to tumbe and the saint himself (for the hug). Zone two is entering by the door on platerias, here you get access to the rest of the cathedral.

Remember that there are no backpacks allowed + security control. This leads to lines. So patience is needed.
