Hello All

We're getting ready for our April walk and after reading some compelling writing about stopping to smell the roses, we've decided to spend an extra day in each of the 4 larger cities; Pamplona, Logroño, Burgos and León (or very nearby at least) to explore the Cathedrals, museums, etc. I've seen some past posts but also seems like some of the previous favorites have closed so trying for an updated (1-2 years) list to work from.

I know many of you will have done this and probably have some great recommendations of Pensions, Hotels, Casa Rurals, etc in these cities and would really appreciate your input so we have time to plan ahead and make the most of our days off! The only amenity we're really hoping for in a nice bathtub to soak the soreness away but after that, we'd consider anywhere with good recommendations.

Thanks for your help,
Jordon

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
Hotel Norte y Londres in Burgos would be one of mine. A lovely old style hotel with on suite facilities including a bath and its only a few hundred meters from the Cathedral.
For Leon the Hotel Paris.

Pamplona. Very near the camino gate upon entering old town. Make your first main right towards cathedral and there it is. Rooms have fabulous tubs and beautiful views of the countryside if you face out from town. Very near the cathedral. Very reasonable. $
Agree with other post about burgos norte y londres hotel.
Remember to carry your credenciale with you for sellos of course but also for the church/museum discounts. Especially at burgos cathedral.
Leon hotel had no tub but delightful room, a big spa tub you could reserve and massages available! Hotel.QH.
Buen camino!

Guides that will let you complete the journey your way.
Leon has two REAL albergues. One near the cathedral and the municipal... a bit of a walk away (WITHOUT curfew), Stayed there for a FEW days to recover/ recoup. I'd recommend the albergue near the cathedral (didn't stay there.... YET) but its got a 10 pm curfew but have heard its a gr8 place to be, Leon's a great place to be !! Buen Camino :) Caesar

I recommend Europa 3 hotel in Pamplona in the historic quarter. Right next to Plaza del Castillo, restaurants and shops. In Logrono you may want to stay at Portales 3 which is a really nice hotel and near the visitor center and one of the main streets with lots of shops and restaurants, cathedral and other attractions I got to attend two different festivals nearby with the locals. While in Burgos I would suggest hotel Cordon 3 situated in the historic quarter and near the cathedral and shops and plazas. You will enjoy all three of those cities! Buen camino
