Running the Camino

Hi a few friends and I are wanting to run the Camino del Norte or the Camino Santiago next year in about two weeks.

I had initially fancied the Northern route as it is a more scenic challenging route. I have now seen it possible involves more roads than the Santiago route.

Any advice or comments please?

I only know the Camino Frances from the last 50 kilometer. There were many walkers on the caminotrail. I cannot see how it could be a good experience to manoeuvre through these masses. And that goes for you and your friends aswell as for the other walkers. Perhaps the Norte would be a better choice. I don't know that route yet, but Sunday I will start in Bilbao

A few years ago there was a woman who blogged about her attempt to set a record for running the Camino Frances. If memory serves correct, I believe she did set a record. If you search it out you might find it. There might be some helpful info in her blog.
