Santiago accomodations

I will be in Santiago on Apr. 28-30. Usually I have stayed at zthe Last Stamp, but they seem to be full on those dates. What are some other recommendations near the Cathedral?

Hostal Hortas or even better, hospederia San Martin Pinario. Ask for a pilgrim room.

Call San Martín Pinario at tel:
+34 981 560 282 and ask for a pilgrim room. They have singles and doubles. It's not much more expensive than the Last Stamp, and a generous buffet breakfast is included.

Agree with San Martín even if you have to stay in a hospederia room.

It's a little more expensive than an Albergue, but Costa Vella is the best place I've stayed in Santiago. Hostal Suso is by the Cathedral, above their bar, perfect location and great place. There's always the Seminario Menor (alberguesdelcamino.com), beds and rooms...cheap, and completely geared toward Pilgrims. A bit of a walk out of the city, but worth it. I was in Santiago the end of September; it was so crowded I had a hard time finding places to stay. So, I just listed some that were available. Buen Camino!
