Just booked flights to start our first Camino in Sarria on the 4th of September looking advice on how doable it is with 5 days of walking and any advice on where the stop off points should be along the way?? We would ideally like to be walking 20-25km per day. Also will it be warm?? Thanks Cherie :)

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
115 km in 5 days. Most do it without a problem provided they have paid some heed to all the advice about pack-weight and foot-wear. www.gronze.com is as good a place as any to explore possible stop-offs. The advice is stop when you are ready or when you are somewhere that you think you might like to spend some time. The wealth of accommodation on this stretch, balanced by the high numbers of pilgrims, means you need to go with the camino: all plans will go awry.

As for temperatures? In a months time who knows but the Iberian peninsula is predicted to endure a lethal heat wave over the next few days. It depends where you are from and what you are used to but September in Galicia is generally like high-summer in the UK (including the rain ;))

Very light, comfortable and compressible poncho. Specially designed for protection against water for any activity.

Our Atmospheric H30 poncho offers lightness and waterproofness. Easily compressible and made with our Waterproof fabric, its heat-sealed interior seams guarantee its waterproofness. Includes carrying bag.

Thanks for all the advice I guess it's a case of just going with the flow and seeing where it takes me! Can't wait to get started

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
Day 1 Sarria to Portomarin
Day 2 Portomarin to Palas de Rei
Day 3 Palas de Rei to Ribadiso
Day 4 Ribadiso to Pedrouzo
Day 5 Pedrouzo to Santiago

Early September should be very pleasant but always pack rain gear in Galicia.

Buen Camino!
