24-28th May 2016 Sarria to Santiago.
I am planning to walk from Sarria to Santiago starting on 24th May. Thats my plan but I am flexible in how long it will take me. I'd prefer to have a travel companion as I am not too confident in my ability to navigate the route! It will also be nice to share experiences along the way. Please reply or email me if you'd like to get together.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
Hi PeO don't think you'll have any trouble teaming up with someone from Sarria, there will be plenty of pilgrims leaving around the time you are there.

Regarding directions you will find plenty of yellow arrows or scallops shell to guide you on the way, failing this just follow the crowds.

People walk at different paces, and it is hard to walk at someone else's pace, so don't be offended if no one wants to walk in lockstep with you. :) It is physical, not personal. I am an anchor, my brother is a race horse. We often walk together, just not "together."

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
There are loads of pilgrims leaving from Sarria. Get up early and sit outside having your cafe con leche and you will soon have plenty of pilgrims to set out with.

Pete, I can assure you that from Sarria to Santiago, leaving on 24 May, you will be in a continual stream of people. There is no way I can imagine that you could get lost. The biggest problem is that there are so many people it could be like being lonely in a city crowd. Folks are not so friendly en mass, you will need to take courage in your hands and start conversations.

Brilliant - many thanks for your comments, kind words and advice. Will relish the thought of the walk now, Cheers.

Pete, I walked the camino from SJp last May as a solo female walker. It was amazing and I will be back doing more this May... can't wait. Take it as it comes and make it your own.
Buen Camino
