Seeking Advice: Getting to Biarritz Airport from Camino Francés

Aloha
My Aunty who has been dreaming of Camino Francés for years is finally (somewhat spontaneously) walking starting at SJPDP in mid-September. She has invited me to accompany her partway. I am so honored! Unfortunately, I will only have about 3 days on the trail with her. We will most likely part ways at Roncesvalles. I will then make my way back to the airport at Biarritz. I am finding conflicting information about how to do this (train and bus routes that may or may not exist). Does anyone know the simplest way for me to get to the airport? I imagine I will take a day to travel and fly out the next. Any advice on this will be much appreciated. I am a Hawaiian woman and this will certainly be the farthest adventure I have taken. I'm feeling a bit out of my depth, but excited and going on faith!

Also, can one easily get by without speaking French and with limited Spanish?

Mahalo nui! (I guess I should say gracias :).)

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

€46,-
The daily bus from Pamplona to SJPDP stops at Roncesvalles. You could take the bus back to SJPDP then the train to Bayonne. Bus from Bayonne to the airport. Express Bourricot might be another option but more expensive.

Are you actually planning to fly from Hawaii for only a three day walk with your aunt, or will you be visiting other areas of Spain by yourself before flying home? Logistically it sounds like a lot of work and time for just a few days, but good luck if that is your plan!

Very light, comfortable and compressible poncho. Specially designed for protection against water for any activity.

Our Atmospheric H30 poncho offers lightness and waterproofness. Easily compressible and made with our Waterproof fabric, its heat-sealed interior seams guarantee its waterproofness. Includes carrying bag.

€60,-
SJPdP to Roncesvalles is at most a two day walk. Perhaps you will end up in Zubiri?

Thank you, if that is the case, do you know if the bus from Pamplona mentioned above also stops in Zubiri?

Haha yes, I know it sounds crazy and I certainly wish I had more time! However, as I mentioned this is spontaneous and I will take my opportunities as they come! All in all I will be traveling about 11 days. Adventures are not always perfect, but I am looking forward to this time with my Aunty and seeing her off on her pilgrimage! It will be an experience of a lifetime, even if it is a whirlwind.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
