Finally made it to Seville after a week´s delay. Had to do a detour to New Zealand, but my camino is all the more special after the death of my mother. She always told us to keep moving. I have been preparing for this for a long time, and excited to be walking out of Seville today. It is a lovely city and look forward to returning after my camino. Not sure how far I will get, but that doesn´t matter now, I will do what I can. I got my credential from Hotel Simon where they are very pilgrim friendly. Look forward to all the journey ahead, and thanks to everyone for the great information. It certainly helps to build confidence in setting off. Hope to see you on the camino, Marianne

Hi Marianne,
I am sure your mother will be very much in your thoughts as you walk. I hope you find solace in the quiet when you want it, but also find some fellow pilgrims to speak with when you need to talk. And I hope it all goes well as you 'keep moving'.

In Castilblanco today. Started running into other peregrinos after Italica. Lots of solo travellers. Albergue in Guillena was full, and Castilblanco is busy. Weather is warm, but still cool in the mornings. Great combination of solitude and comaraderie.

Some thoughts on my Camino after 2 weeks: every day of the Camino is different, and every day starts with a new group of people. Some came for one week, some for two and some going the whole way. The weather was very hot and dry, but as soon as I finished it turned cooler and raining. There is no perfect time to start, you just have to start. Starting early in the morning worked well for me, on the hot days it was still cool until About 10am. Go at your own pace, going too fast resulted in blisters for me. I had a great time, met lots of great people, great food, lots of laughs and hope to be back to do it again in the next 2 years. Thankyou to all the people who run the albergues, mark the way, allow access through property, write the guides and make the Camino a great experience.

I'm really glad you had a great experience. It's a lifetime adventure.

Best wishes for many happy camino memories. Many welcomes back for the future!
