Starting Camino Frances end of August - seeking travel companion

Time of past OR future Camino
Camino Frances, September 2022
Planning to fly to Paris and spending 2 nights. Then the TGV to Bayonne and the TER to St Jean Pied de Port. Looking for a travel companion interested in commencing the Camino in late August. I speak a bit of French and have previously navigated Paris, the TGV and RER. (My husband prefers I don't travel alone!)

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

€149,-
Your husband, what a sweety!!
There are how many hundred thousand people a year walking the Camino? You will not be alone. Remind him you will take all necessary safety precautions, you are a big girl, you've managed to survive this long (how old are you, anyway?). On the emptiest parts of the Camino Frances, my experience was someone came along no more than every 10 minutes. Go for it, girl, you deserve an adventure.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Thanks to all for your kind replies! Yes, I am 65 yo and have had the traveling angels along since I first ventured off to Northern Europe on my bike as a clueless college student in the late 70's. My husband has now relaxed in the realization that the soul will take care itself and his wife has a good head on her shoulders. Looking forward to meeting some of these wonderful folks on the journey. Thanks again.

My husband feels the same way. It's not that the Camino itself isn't safe and one definitely meets lots of people, it's about someone having your back (so to speak) if unforeseen circumstances occur like illness or sprains/nroken bones. It would be comforting to have a Camino buddy who could help get to/from medical facilities, etc. You don't have to walk every step together (each can enjoy their individual Camino) but I think having a buddy to visit the sites & have an evening meal with, discuss the day's events with would be nice for the pilgrim and comforting to those at home.

I agree with the sentiments above. The CF is the busiest Camino and there is always someone around. Don’t see someone? Wait 5 mins, just like waiting on a bus.

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
