Camino Portugues (2008)
Hello, everyone!

This September, I am planning on doing a part of the Camino Norte to Santiago and continuing on to Finisterre. I do have a limited time period that I can devote to this journey, so I cannot start at the beginning of the route and am looking for advice on a good starting point. I am flying into Madrid and found that I can easily find a train from Madrid to Gijon. However, I was hoping to begin up to a 5 days walk before Gijon. Any suggestions on starting points and transportation to get there from Madrid? I would appreciate the input!

Three stages before Gijón, is Llanes. In summer, being a tourist, there are direct buses from Madrid to Llanes and others who need to do transfer in Oviedo. In September, not having much tourism, I'm not sure that there would have to consult. To go to another location, from Gijón bound to find buses running along the coast.
