Starting St Jean Monday 10th.

Hello there all its offical rucksack purchased flights booked and the long walk is starting next Monday from St Jean. Slightly apprehensive about first few days but really want to start in France if only to tease the French about the fact that ireland will win the Rugby World Cup.

Serioulsy any words of advice for the journey. Is the anyone starting the Camino around then...??

The best advice, as always, is start out slow and don't push hard for the first days.

Try to post when you can and keep us updated on the current conditions.

Hey there, I am doing the camino as well but I will get there on Monday. I was thinking to start the camino next day on Tuesday morning. please, let me know what are you plans so we might start the camino the same day...

hey there great to hear someone starting the same time... i arrive in st jean monday evening so will be starting the tuesday morning also... i fly to bordeaux and then getting train down.. not sure what time i am getting into st jean i think about 9... what are your own plans?

If all goes well I will be starting to walk the Valcarlos route from SJPdP on Wednesday October 12.

ohhhh I am flying to Biarritz and then I get the train from there to St Jean. I think I will arrive to St Jean sometime on Monday night too... send me an email to lleones@hotmail.com so if you want we can start doing the camino togheter.... if this sounds good, let me know!
