Time of past OR future Camino
July (2013)
I will begin my first Camino in July; I will only be able to spend 9 days. I am open to suggestions on where to begin! I'm both exited & nervous as I will be making this journey on my own.

New Original Camino Gear Designed Especially with The Modern Peregrino In Mind!
The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
Hi! As it's your first Camino and you're alone I'd definitely go for somewhere along the Camino Frances. There are just more options and more company. Assuming you want to end in Santiago you could probably start from Ponferrada, but it's also nice to have a day or two in Santiago at the end so I'd start a bit further on.

Search through posts about transport to other places such as O Cebreiro, Triacastella etc.

I have just returned from 16 days on the camino having started in Leon :D . I had short days at the beginning and the end and had a couple of days rest in Santiago before coming home. I walked by myself and loved it/I also loved meeting people along the way. My Camino was fantastic and I would not now change anything about it but if I knew then what i know now, I would have started at the St J. or Roncevalles and walked from there as far as I could and then come back at some point in the future to continue.

So i guess it depends if you think this is a one off or if you intend to return  (guess what I will be doing )
you will have the time of your life, All the best

Thank you for the suggestions! Lots to consider but all positive! I do plan to return with my husband in the future.

I had the same dilema and decided to start from SJPDP and loved it. :D

Nine (9) days will likely get you close or to Santo Domingo de Calzada, which is a great point to pick it up and finish it!

BUEN CAMINO!
