I have found this forum so helpful I started my first Camino Tuesday from Ponferrada is tougher than I thought in some places e.g Vega de Valcarce to Fonfria but am enjoying the experience Buen Camino
You will do just fine out there. Take care.
Wish you well and a Buen Camino, Peter.

My Fitbit had the section as the most elevation gain of any stage! It is up and down, and deceptively so! Keep truckin'. It will get easier (in general). Buen camino.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

Thanks, Falcon now in Portomarin tomorrow Palas de Rei!

I remember thinking that I had no business thinking about being fit enough to do even small parts of the Camino. The advice of other Peregrinos to take my time worked and each day I felt stronger. My son and I were surprised that after two weeks my body and my soul were a bit fitter! I know you are finding the same and when you rest at night take some time to vision/feel all the nighttime healing that happens. It's a lot knitting that is going on in heart, mind and body - enjoy this! It was not the reason we chose to become pilgrims and it was a lovely unforeseen gift!

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

Just past Palas de Rei is San Xulian, one of the best albergues and meals on the Camino. Press on through if you can/want! Call ahead to be sure he is not full, though.
Totally agree with you, falcon269! One other person and I stayed there on 31 Oct last year - they closed for the season the next day.
aliwalks, I hope you continued on after Palas de Rei and stayed in San Xulian! If not -- next time! All the best on your Camino!

Hi, you will do fine. It good be hart sometimes but hang in there.
Wish you a great journey and a Buen Camino, Peter.

Aliwalks, you've done the hardest bit...second what falcon 269 and OTH86 say about San Xulian...the added benefit being that in addition to the great place, you get ahead of the crowd that starts at Palas de Rei. Don't know which albergue they refer to--I stayed in the second one, a private place a little further on in Pontecampana called Casa Domingo (the SJ albergue was full of kids on a bike trip:(). It was quite nice.
