the bare minimum

Hi all,

I've taken a look around this forum and can't see anything that quite answers my questions so I hope I'm not repeating myself.

I'm heading off to do my first pilgramage in mid-march and want to take the bare minimum equipment.

So far I plan on bringing:

Poncho
1 change of undies 1 change of socks
guidebook/journal/pen
water bottle
small blanket (although I might skip this and just sleep under a jacket!)
Some sort of foot cream/banadages

I honestly can't think of anything vitally important! Please let me know if I'm forgetting something.

I only want to take a small back pack (the sort that zips onto one of the larger 30 litre ones).

Hi Emma,

There are some suggestions for a pack list over on the wiki that you might have a look at to see if you find any of these items useful (I have heard that the earplugs come in really handy for example):
