The slideshow images

I've noticed that the slideshow images that decorate the top section of the forum seem to have got into a rut.

It's the same small set of pictures that slide across now. I think I've seen Que Gozada rather often, for example!

How are these images selected, and have they got stuck? Or is it a browser issue for me alone?

I think that is a tech question that @ivar is probably best placed to answer. Might be an idea to send him a personal message in case he does not spot your question in the crowd.

They are as labeled, the Latest Camino Photos submitted to the media area. I liked the presentation of a random collection of photos that the forum had for years until recently.

Ah, so any of us could add new images to that area and they would replace the current set?

And there was me thinking they were gathered from the forum automatically.

I used to have the slideshow to be of random photos... but I found that this meant that if you uploaded a new photo, it would "never" be shown... so now I have changed it to the latest photos. This mean that if you upload a new photo in the media section here:

https://www.caminodesantiago.me/community/camino-photos/

...it will be shown in this slider...

That's great, perhaps the "One Day At A Time" crew can add media here to keep that section fresh!

Since you already have the code for randomized photos maybe it would be easy to just add a link titled Random Camino Photos Instead next to the link titled Latest Camino Photos.

I turned off the random photos... so now it shows the latest (hence why the title says latest). I feel it is best to have the latest photos show... so people feel that the photo they have uploaded is shown...

ahh.. I may have misunderstood you.. I can only have it one way at a time... so I can't have random photos and latest at the same time..

Thanks for considering my request anyway. Having done lots of coding I know things that look like they could be easy can be very difficult; that's why I emphasized the maybe.
