The Way (a poem)

Would like to hear your comments and thoughts about this simple little poem

The Way

I've lost my way
A time or two...
On that road to Santiago
Where best is not best
And worst is not worst
Oh shelled peregrino will carry me

I've found my way
A time or two...
By looking into your eyes
Where best is not best
And worst is not worst
Still you comfort me
Like that journey

Any distance is distant
The heart flame can fade
As the minutes twist into years
Where best is not best
And worst is not worst
And we each find our own
"Santiago"

I will wait for you love
With compostela in hand
On that way to Santiago
Where best is not best
But worst is not worst
That the promise of love
will endure

Great...thought I was done with crying about/on the Camino!! Nicely done!

Camino de Santiago means many things to many people...religious, spiritual, life's trials, tribulations, adventures and loves. While it means so many things to so many people, still the Camino is a special place for all how are fortunate to experience it. Yes, I wrote the poem. Thanks for the comments.

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
Thank you for that beautiful poem. The Camino continually tugs at my heart strings.

I am wondering how you disconnect, in part, from the world. I have a couple of reasons that I need to be accessible but, I don't want to be constantly connected on this journey. Ideas?
Can anyone tell me if food is available there… anyone stayed recently? Cheers
If you’re walking the Camino Portugues right now I’d recommend you avoid the complementario route into Pontevedra. While it is quiet and green and follows the river, it’s also a muddy mess. I...
