I am reading a great new book by Jean-Christie Ashmore..."Camino de Santiago To Walk Far, Carry Less"
Jean is a very experienced Pilgrim and has been walking various Caminos for many years.
The book really breaks down the questions that most new (and experienced) people have on what to take...and what to leave home. She gives lots of information from the weight of pack items to the weight of food and water you carry. She talks about how to weigh things and even what type of scale to use. Lots of practical and useful information here.
All in all a very good read for anyone interested in the Camino and really a must for those who are planning their first adventure.
I ordered it from Amazon for my Kindle and iPhone. I think there is an iBooks addition available.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
Do you know I love it when people write this sort of book.

The only problem is that it is 13 years and 8 pilgrimages too late. :D

On a serious note does she have any advice for those who walk with medical problems and for whom tablets and equipment are essential?

I have to make serious choices about what I cannot take because my insulin pump consumables are not so much heavy as bulky.
