I tried booking on line the 15.20 train on 08/10/2021 from Bilbao Abanda to Logrono but it seems to be booked out or just unavailable. does anyone know if this means train is booked out or could we still get tickets at the station. The train being booked out seems unlightly but in the times we live anything seems possable.
So excited to get back on the trail.
Thanks to all and Bon Camino everyboby

The booking difficulty may be related to the Día de la Hispanidad. Read more in this post by Perigrina2000.

We took the direct bus from the new bus station three weeks ago. It's as fast as the train as it has less stops.

You need a ticket to access the bus departure area as you need to scan it to get in, as its downstairs, similar to a subway.

Buy your ticket at the machine at the station, or online, then watch for your bus trip appearing on the screen before going to the departure waiting area, which i just before the turnstile, as it will tell you the bus stop number.

And, your ticket blocks out access to the departure turnstile until 20mins before departure time.

Great buses, give it ago

That's great. Thanks for the help.👍

More buses, more often than trains in Pays Basque. I beleive it is a leagcy of Franco's disdain for the Basque.
