Hi

We are walking from St. Jean for about 8-9 days then have to get to Madrid? Are there local buses that will then connect with trains to Madrid from the larger stops along the way? Also we have friends who hope to meet us in Larrasoana a couple of days after we start in St. Jean. Any ideas on how to get them from Paris to Larrasoana- or Bayone to Larrasoana( if they take the train from paris to Bayonne) in one day? Thank you

Estellesa operates buses between Pamplona and Logrono. Autobuses Jiminez operates buses between Logrono and Burgos. There is frequent bus service from Pamplona, Logrono, and Burgos to Madrid, mainly operated by ALSA. There are train stations at Pamplona, Logrono and Burgos, however rail service from Logrono is limited.

Take the SNCF TGV train from Paris to the terminus at Irun. From there take Renfe train or Renfe Cercanias train to San Sebastian. Catch ALSA (Conda) bus from San Sebastian (or Irun Renfe Station) to Pamplona. The San Sebastian train station is located across the river from the outdoor bus station at Plaza Pio XII. From Pamplona bus station take Artieda bus to Larrasoana.

ALSA (CONDA) operates a bus from Pamplona to SJPdP. It has a stop at Zubiri but not Larrasona.

If you walk 8 or 9 days, you are likely to end after Logroño either in Nájera or in Santo Domingo de la Calzada. From both of this places you can take a bus to Burgos with Autobuses Jiménez. Once in Burgos, you can take either a bus with Alsa or a train with RENFE to Madrid.
