Transporting luggage

Hi Fellow Pilgrims

Sean and I are returning to Astorga on April 26th to complete our Camino, God willing. We have a leaflet with the names and phone numbers of companies which transport luggage from one Albergue to our next one. But there seems to be a gap in service between Villafranca del Bierzo and Palas de Rei. Would anyone know if there is a service between these two places? We would very much appreciate you help. Best wishes to all pilgrims this year, we have found it a life- changing experience, the best thing we ever did!

...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).
In 2006 I stayed the night at Hostel Brasil in Vega de Valcarce. In the morning pilgrims were arranging to have their bags taken up the hill to O' Cebreiro by taxi.

I'm quite confident that Albergue staff will help you arrange taxis to carry baggage if there is no "formal" baggage service.

I'm packing my bag right now, and depart tomorrow! It seems that my bag has shrunk and my stuff has grown since I was last on the Camino.

Good Luck,
David, Victoria, Canada

Hi David and John

Thank you for info and good wishes. We are hoping to sort out our luggage transfer when we are there. We trust the Lord will look after us. He always has so far.

Best Wishes David, hope you are enjoying your Camino, Buen Camino
Best Wishes John also.
