Planning August 2015, Portuguese way
I am walking the Portuguese coast way in August. I am doing the hotel way so my luggage is tacking from hotel to hotel while I walk. I am a bit unsure as to wether I should carry my Australian passport on me or leave it in my suit case. Which is the safest option. If I carry it in my back pack hoping it doesn't get stolen not that I will be leaving out of my sight. . Or then there's the other way leave in suit case and lock case each time its transferred..

Very light, comfortable and compressible poncho. Specially designed for protection against water for any activity.

Our Atmospheric H30 poncho offers lightness and waterproofness. Easily compressible and made with our Waterproof fabric, its heat-sealed interior seams guarantee its waterproofness. Includes carrying bag.

€60,-
Carry your national passport on your body. I use a small flat waterproof money bag which goes around the waist and under any clothes. Hence it is hidden from view. For added protection photograph the important info on your passport and keep a copy if the photo on your smartphone as well as on your home computer. Thus if your passport is lost you have 'proof of purchase' available.

Buen camino!

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

What Don said. Keep it with you at all times. I carry a small, flat waist pack inside my clothes with my passport, credit card and small amount of cash. It is washable so when it gets stinky it goes in the laundry. Liz

Carry, carry, carry. It is after all the ONLY item you truly NEED on the Camino, as it is what will allow you to get back home and replace every other item. I put my valuables in a waterproof pouch (http://www.coghlans.com/products/waterproof-pouch-5-inch-x-7-inch-8415) and put that in one of my pant's cargo pockets. I think mine is more 4X6 than 5X7 though and in it I carry both passports, credential, credit and ATM card and cash I will not be using during that day.
