The US Public Health Emergency will expire after 11 May 2023 and there has been some talk that the vaccination requirement for travelers should cease then as well, but can you cite a reference that it will happen?

The CDC website, dated 27 April 2023 still shows a vaccination requirement for non-citizens (i.e. not a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, or traveling to the United States on an immigrant visa) who still need to show proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

The only change I heard about is that they now accept ONE dose of Pfizer/Moderna as being "fully vaccinated" if it was administered after 16 August 2022 when the bi-valent vaccines became available. You have to drill down to the FAQs at the link to see that.

I think that the White House is a pretty official source, and their statement says:
