Hope you have a great camino! Please keep us posted if you can. I am looking forward to getting back on the trail in April.Saludos desde Sevilla!
This is for Susanna who asked if I would post something 'live' from the Camino.
Had a smooth flight from Amsterdam and the airport bus was awaiting me when I stepped out the door. Bus to the city is now 4 euros. Triana Backpackers is as nice as I remember. Now 15 euros (13+2 for the credential).
So far have met one of the two other pilgrims staying here tonight, a gentleman from Barcelona. A friend of his will join us in Santiponce tomorrow so there will be at least 3 other pilgrim on the road.
Weather 13c and dry (for now).
The adventure begins tomorrow!

Go well! I'm just back from an extremely wet but excellent Ingles. Hope it is dry-ish for you

Indeed! Squish squish, squish for about 10-15 minutes. After that no problem and no blisters! Too much of a hassle to take everything off but hear that the arroyo is waist high today to Zafra. That adventurous I am not! We will check it out and decide. There is a well marked alternative.
Update stage Monesterio - Fuente de Cantos: when in doubt follow the yellow arrows and NOT the Arco de Cáparra cubes!!!! You will finally get to Fuente de Cantos but not along the 'correct' path. I went wrong but a lovely man in for a chat gave me two delicious oranges.

Greetings from Casar de Cáceres!
Here some pictures of the last few days:
Pictures are wonderful, and make me anxious to pack my stuff and get going! Thanks!Greetings from Casar de Cáceres!
Today we finished day 11. We have been blessed with sun during the last few days. Mornings are cool (wear my wool gloves and Buff) but the afternoons are lovely.
Today was long: 37-38 km because we went wrong this a.m. and wandered around Cáceres. We left Aldea del Cano at 7.30, had breakfast in Valdesor, a beer in Cáceres and continued on to Casar de Cáceres. Tomorrow a short day to the Embalse dd Alcántara.

On the way to Torremejía.
Buen Camino to all!
Would you please be so kind as to send me one as well? Thanks..... (leaving April).
Hi Grayland,My next day after the Embalse (Sunday) was very confusing. The construction site was huge with everything torn up in all directions. They were not working so no one around. The signs (mostly hand made) were all down and there was no indication of where to go.
I was able to work through the miles long area by using a GPS track sent to me earlier by newfydog.
The GPS tracks can really be a great thing at times when you have gotten off track or the trail has been changed.
Lee...have fun. Lots of good stuff ahead.
Hi Unadara,Hi Una, there is now confusion in the forum ranks, I am Una also but forum name unadara, so I will use that to sign, I am starting in Sevilla 10th April. Won't have a gps or need track, taking a compass!
I am hoping to start from Sevilla or Guillena (depending on the state of streams near Guillena) around april 11th or so and go on for as long as my family, my health and my job allow me to!Hi Amancio
Are you starting from Seville? what date?
Unadara
